She Said She Finally Has a Strategic Partner
Jun 09, 2026And That’s Exactly Why I Built This
Something happened last month that I just have to share.
An Obesity Medicine Specialist and Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner joined Bariatric Business Accelerator (my monthly membership program) and we had our first call together. I walked her through the membership site, onboarded her, showed her everything that's inside.
And at the end of our call, she said something that stopped me in my tracks. She said: "I finally feel like I have a strategic partner."
Someone she can bounce ideas off of. Someone who helps her think through business decisions that she's been making alone. Someone who keeps her focused and accountable when the day-to-day of running her practice threatens to swallow every long-term goal she has.
She also told me that the done-for-you content had already saved her time (the email templates, the social media posts, the marketing materials, the training resources) all of it ready to use, not something she had to build from scratch at 10pm after a full day seeing patients.
I'm going to be honest with you: that feedback made my whole week. Because it's the exact reason Bariatric Business Accelerator exists.
The Thing Nobody Talks About in Medical Training
You were trained to be an exceptional physician. An exceptional clinician. You know how to manage complex patients, navigate difficult cases, and lead a clinical team. That training was rigorous and it prepared you well for the medicine side of your practice.
But nobody prepared you for the business of building and growing a practice. The marketing decisions, the systems questions, the team management challenges, the revenue diversification pressure, the constant pull between seeing patients and building something sustainable.
And the loneliness of it. That part is real, too.
You're often the highest-ranking person in the room, which means the decisions land on you. You may have a great team, but there's a ceiling to how much you can process with them. You may have colleagues you respect, but they're just as busy and overwhelmed as you are.
So, you figure it out alone. You Google things at midnight or use AI (which is helpful). You try a new marketing strategy, it doesn't stick, and you're not sure why. You know your practice could be running better (more efficiently, more profitably, more sustainably) with less pressure on you, but you don't have the bandwidth to figure out exactly how.
That's not a failure. That's just the gap that medical education left wide open.
What "Support" Actually Looks Like in Practice
When I created Bariatric Business Accelerator, I wasn't trying to build another online course that collects dust after the first module. I wanted to build the thing I wish had existed when I was in the trenches helping my husband establish and grow his comprehensive medical and surgical weight loss practice. I could have used a real, practical, ongoing resource that met me where I was in ‘figuring everything out’ every single month while raising a family.
Here's what's actually inside membership:
- Done-for-you content that you can put to work immediately. Email templates for patient communication, social media posts you can customize and schedule, marketing materials you don't have to create from zero. If you've ever spent two hours staring at a blank screen trying to write a patient newsletter, you know exactly how valuable this is.
- On-demand trainings built around the six core operating systems of a weight loss practice. Not generic business content. Content written specifically for bariatric surgeons, obesity medicine physicians, and lifestyle medicine practitioners. Because the challenges you face are not the same as a dentist or a dermatologist.
- Templates, checklists, and plug-and-play resources covering everything from financial tracking to patient program structure to team workflows. The kind of tools that should exist but usually don't, unless you build them yourself over years of trial and error.
- And the piece that our new member said was her favorite: a private monthly strategy call. Just you and me (and your team if you want to bring them) working through your specific questions, your specific challenges, your specific goals. No generic advice. A real conversation about your real practice.
You don't need more information. You need solutions, support, and someone in your corner who actually gets it.
Growing a Practice Is Not a Solo Sport
I think about this a lot, actually. The physicians who grow the most sustainable, profitable, and patient-centered practices are almost never the ones going it completely alone. They have someone (a mentor, a consultant, a peer group, a coach) who shortens the learning curve and helps them see what they can't see when they're deep inside their own practice.
Business owners across every industry understand this instinctively. It is why masterminds exist. It is why coaching is a multi-billion-dollar industry. It's why the most successful entrepreneurs actively seek out people who challenge their thinking and hold them accountable.
Physicians, for a variety of cultural and professional reasons, often resist this. There's an expectation that you should be able to figure it out. That needing support is somehow a weakness.
It isn't. It's just smart strategy.
You wouldn't tell a patient to manage a complex metabolic condition entirely on their own, without support, without accountability, without a structured plan. The same logic applies to building your practice.
The Win Worth Celebrating
I talk a lot about strategy and systems and metrics, because those things matter enormously. But I also believe deeply in celebrating wins. Especially in this work, where the challenges are constant and the frustrations are real and the pressure never fully goes away.
A new member finding her footing faster than she expected. Feeling less alone in the business decisions that used to keep her up at night. Saving time on content she no longer has to create from scratch. Showing up with more confidence for her patients because she has more structure behind the scenes. In fact, my team and I often add in some surprise assets customized to you for you to use as well and audit all of your marketing efforts.
That's a win. And it matters.
Whatever your practice looks like right now – whether you're just getting started, mid-growth and feeling stuck, or established and ready to build something new – there are wins waiting for you too. They're on the other side of having a plan, having resources, and having someone in your corner.
Is BBA Right for You?
If you've been listening to my podcast or reading my blogs for a while and wondering whether Bariatric Business Accelerator is worth it, let me be direct with you: if you're a weight loss practitioner who wants to grow a sustainable, profitable, patient-centered practice without burning out and without doing it alone, it is worth it.
It is intentionally priced to be accessible, because I built it to be the kind of support that every practice deserves – not just the ones with unlimited marketing budgets.
Inside you'll find everything I described above: the done-for-you content, the on-demand trainings, the templates and checklists, and your private monthly strategy time with me.
And maybe most importantly, you'll have a strategic partner. Someone who has been deep inside weight loss practices for years (and still in the trenches running my husband’s 7-figure business), who understands the clinical landscape and the business landscape, and who is genuinely invested in seeing you build something great.
